Filing Location Change for Eviction & Unlawful Detainer Cases

Eviction Filing By Zip Code End - Web Image (1)

The 10th Judicial Circuit Court recently made changes to procedures for filing landlord tenant eviction and unlawful detainer cases, see Administrative Order No. 3-38.5.

As of Jan. 4, all cases will be handled by a judge in Bartow. This reverses the procedures implemented in Administrative Order 3-38.4 issued in October 2022 that required evictions to be filed at specific offices based on the zip code.

For the fastest service, customers should file all paperwork related to landlord tenant eviction and unlawful detainer cases at the Clerk’s office in Bartow or online using the Clerk’s DIY tool. All paperwork filed elsewhere will experience processing delays.
